1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to KidMonk ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using the KidMonk mobile application and website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Parent or Guardian Consent
KidMonk is an educational platform designed for children aged 5-14, but all accounts must be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian over the age of 18. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are the legal guardian of the child profile(s) associated with your account and that you consent to these terms and our Privacy Policy.
3. Account Registration & Security
Parents are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials. We use Supabase for secure authentication. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. Children interact with the app using an internal "Friend Code" (Kid ID) and do not have standalone login credentials.
4. Free Service and No In-App Purchases
KidMonk is committed to providing a safe, uninterrupted learning environment. Currently, the app does not contain personalized advertising, in-app purchases, or paid subscriptions. You will not be asked for credit card or financial information within the app.
5. User Conduct and Friend Fights
KidMonk includes interactive features such as "Friend Fights" and "Clan Fights" where children can test their knowledge via quizzes using their Friend Codes. You agree that your child will use these features for their intended educational purposes. Any attempt to reverse engineer the app, manipulate quiz scores, or use the platform maliciously will result in immediate account termination.
6. Intellectual Property
All content provided on KidMonk—including Quickbooks, Flashcard Decks, quizzes, AI-generated illustrations, software code, and voice agent outputs—is the exclusive property of KidMonk. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial educational purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without explicit permission.
7. Limitation of Liability
KidMonk is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. While we strive to ensure all AI-assisted educational content is accurate and safe, we do not warrant that the app will be entirely error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, KidMonk and its founders shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the app.
8. Account Deletion
You maintain full control over your data. You may delete your account and all associated child data at any time via the in-app settings (Settings > Account > Delete Account) or by visiting our automated deletion portal.
